  1. David Moyes

    Read the oration for David Moyes on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Frank Sanderson.

  2. Nickianne Moody

    Nickianne worked at LJMU for just short of 30 years, teaching on and then leading the university’s Media and Cultural Studies provision. Sadly, she died in 2019 following a period of illness, leaving behind a multitude of memories and legacies for students and academics alike.

    Emeritus Professor of Astrophysics, Mike Bode, was the founding Director of the Astrophysics Research Institute at LJMU and led the Institute until his sabbatical in 2014/15.

  4. Moni Akinsanya

    Moni Akinsanya is Associate Director of Diversity and Inclusion and has worked at LJMU for over 16 years. She has led on many race and gender equality projects at the university and driven meaningful change, making sure the voices of underrepresented groups are heard.

  5. Visible Body

    Visible Body is a software designed to enhance the teaching and learning of anatomy, physiology, and biology through interactive 3D models.

  6. Arthur Hyatt (1939-2022)

    As a craft, design and technology student of the then Liverpool Polytechnic in the 1980s, Arthur designed a special mace for use at graduation ceremonies and became the first mace bearer.

  9. About the Artivism Research Group

    Based within the Centre for the Study of Crime, Criminalisation and Social Exclusion, Artivism seeks to explore new models of collaborative work between researchers, artists, curators, campaign groups and charities.

  10. School of Law and Justice Studies facilities

    The School of Law and Justice Studies is located in the £37.6 million Redmonds building, which provides three impressive lecture theatres, as well as teaching and seminar rooms, IT suites, social learning spaces, roof terraces and a Starbucks café.
