  2. Lorraine Shaw

    Lorraine Shaw was the Subject Lead for Nursing in the School of Nursing and Allied Health from 2013 until her retirement in 2023. As a registered nurse since 1987, practising in a range of clinical areas, her ties with LJMU began in 1992 when she needed a degree to progress with her career and enrolled with LJMU while continuing to work full-time for the NHS, and later venturing into teaching and management.

    The National Teaching Fellowship (NTF) Scheme is an esteemed AdvanceHE award, accorded to around fifty educators every year since 2010.

  7. Physical Literacy staff

    This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

  8. Ana Armada Bras: Sustainable Building Technology

    Ana’s lab works on transforming waste products into new civil engineering resources. The team uses bio-based waste from agriculture and industry to make new construction resources with that have resilient, self-healing properties.
