1. Empower the Next Generation: Host a Work Experience Placement

   This May, June or July, the Diversity and Inclusion team is looking for staff and teams to host local pupils in year 10, 11 and 12 for work experience placements at the university.

2. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

3. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).

4. Sport science students make an impact with nearly 15,000 hours of placements

   From community sports clubs that support people with special educational needs to premier league football clubs, 173 students have undertaken 14,730 hours of work-based placements this academic year.

5. Discovery Internships: grad edition open for applications

   LJMU is offering final year undergraduate students (level 6) the opportunity to apply for a paid 'Grad Edition’ Discovery Internship working with a local organisation in the Liverpool City Region.

6. Future Fortnight: 28 February to 11 March – open to all students

   Join the Student Futures team for a series of events helping you think about your future goals. The sessions are friendly, open to students from any programme or year group and will help you gain clarity on your next steps.

   Calling all final and second-year students, come meet your future employers.

   RateMyPlacement ranks LJMU 14th in UK for work experience.

   Our work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a Year 10 pupil to undertake a placement within your department.
