1. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

2. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

3. New Policy - Data Sharing with Law Enforcement Agencies

   The Policy Centre has been updated with a new policy

4. Updated Research Degrees Framework 2024/25

   Updates have been made to various regulations and policies that underpin the university’s Research Degrees Framework.

5. New and updated diversity and inclusion policies

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

6. Framework for Academic Quality and Standards Policy update

   This staff policy has had a minor amendment.

7. Menopause matters celebration and future initiatives

   An update on the work happening at LJMU to better support staff going through the menopause.

8. Health, safety and environmental management code of practice updates

   The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has recently approved a new health and safety code of practice as well as amendments to a further 11 policies.

9. Military veterans, reservists and their partners offered enhanced support by LJMU

   As an Armed Forces friendly organisation, LJMU has introduced new measures to better support veterans, reservists and their partners who work for the university, or who may look to join the institution in the future.

10. New Teaching and Learning Academy policies

    Two new policies will support teaching staff in their development through peer exchange and direct observation.
