   Our staff networks have been integral in progressing certain policies for LJMU staff, including on maternity leave and menopause.

2. LJMU is offering students access to IT services off campus like never before

   Do you prefer to study out of hours? Is there a pressing lab report that you need access to? No problem! LJMU is providing students with 24/7 access to IT services off campus. That means you can access Office 365 from your own device and download other software onto your own laptop/computer as well as accessing lab computers.

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

4. Bronze award for support of the Armed Forces

   LJMU has received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledging how we provide support to the Armed Forces community.

5. Technicians survey: your skills, your roles, your responsibilities

   We are working with the National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) to better understand our technical workforce.

6. Staff online security training

   If you have not already completed your online security training for this quarter, you must do so as soon as possible.

7. LJMU presented with gold award for support of the Armed Forces community

   The university was officially presented with the award at a ceremony at the city’s Liver Building.

8. Technicians Survey headline findings

   The headline results from the recent Technicians Survey are now available, along with an outline of our next steps.

9. 2025 dental plan for LJMU staff

   This voluntary scheme, provided by Unum Dental, is a dental insurance policy that is considerably less expensive than an individual plan.

10. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

    LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.
