  2. Prospero@5 symposium

    LJMU staff and students are invited to this special research symposium to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the commissioning of Prospero, LJMU’s central high performance computing (HPC) facility.

    IT has a range of environmental impacts and has a large carbon footprint, with digital infrastructure estimated to account for approximately 3.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

  8. Fadi Alnaef

    Fadi is a 2023 graduate from the maritime business and management programme. He came to the UK as a refugee, having fled his home in Damascus, Syria, and gaining his initial qualifications in Greece. He used his dissertation research to highlight the challenges facing the shipping sector and their obligations under international law to help vessels in distress, including refugee and migrant boat crossings.

  9. King Charles III

    Back in 2007 LJMU acknowledged the then Prince of Wales with an Honorary Fellowship and hosted him during the tenth Roscoe Lecture series. Dedicating much of his life to others, as the heir apparent to the throne, HRH The Prince of Wales was recognised for his services to charity, education and the environment.
