In the year Cunard celebrates the 175th anniversary of its first crossing, LJMU and Southern Connecticut State University jointly announce a trans-Atlantic alliance which will offer increased opportunities for students at both institutions.
A LJMU student was astounded after a private message to marketing guru Steven Bartlett landed him a job within 10 minutes.
An LJMU programme for local schools is giving youngsters the “motivation and confidence that inner city pupils from Liverpool can succeed”.
The aim of the programme is to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors further support and guidance, in relation to; operating more confidently and effectively, whilst developing themselves and their staff/students positively.
Staff have been celebrated for marking their career milestones of 25,35,45 and 50 years at the university.

LJMU’s Outreach Team has continued their work with the Hong Kong community based in Warrington. The team held an event last week to support the community and share access to Higher Educations options, within the region.
Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.
