Guidance on UKRI compliance and open data

Amie Longthorne from the Researcher Engagement team is offering 1-2-1 sessions for UKRI award holders at the university to discuss the importance of making research data as open as possible while managing necessary restrictions keeping in line with UKRI's expectations and guidelines.

Each session will explore data management policies and plans that align with best practices and standards, ensuring long-term accessibility of valuable data. This includes understanding how to meet all requirements in data sharing throughout the research lifecycle, as well as the importance of detailed metadata documentation to enhance the discoverability and reusability of data for other researchers.

Data sharing requirements will be reviewed for award holders as per UKRI research councils, including AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, NERC, and STFC, to ensure compliance with council-specific policies.
