A month of free wellbeing events for students and staff this February

From walking tours around the city, crafts and bibliotherapy workshops, LJMU has a month’s worth of events for all students and staff to get involved in this February.

Wellbeing month

February is wellbeing month annually also known as Feel Fab Feb across the university.

We want our students and staff to flourish and thrive while looking after their mental health and wellbeing. We also want to provide tools, resources and safe spaces for students and staff to focus on their wellbeing and its importance in our daily lives.

That’s why every February we shine a spotlight on wellbeing with a calendar of different events from gym classes and craft workshops to guided writing sessions, there’s something for all our students and staff, no matter how you prefer to focus on your wellbeing.

A range of activities and how to sign up:

We’ve created a ’Looking after your wellbeing’ events hub where you can view all the activities taking place this February and sign up. These include:

Not feeling fab this February

We understand not all our student and staff will be feeling good this month.

If you’re struggling with your wellbeing, we have a wealth of resources available:

Wellbeing resources for students

For students, our Student Support pages outline who to speak to if you’re struggling with any part of student life plus how to report concerns and incidents using our Report and Support tool. There is a range of support from wellbeing to financial, mental health to accommodation.

Wellbeing resources for staff

All staff across the university are encouraged by the university’s Senior Leadership Team to take part in wellbeing activities and prioritise your own health and wellbeing.

If you’re struggling with your wellbeing, we have a wealth of resources via our Staff Wellbeing Hub. You’ll find a range of internal and external support, guidance, self-help literature, advice and tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing plus further information on our Employee Assistance Programme, our 24/7, 365 days a year support line, where you can speak to a trained counsellor.
