Summer building opening times 2025

LJMU will move to its summer building opening hours from Monday 23 June. 

Building opening times will remain unchanged but they will lock at 8pm, Monday to Thursday, with last activities to be completed by 7pm. 

Buildings will close at 7 pm on Fridays with last activity to be complete by 6pm. 

The exceptions to this are: 

• The Student Life Building will remain open 24/7.  

• John Lennon Art and Design Building will be closed for maintenance work over the summer period.

• The Sport Building remains open until 9.30pm Monday to Friday, and until 4.30pm on Saturdays and 5.30pm on Sundays. 

Libraries  

Avril Robarts Library is open from 8.45am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, closed  Saturdays and Sundays.  

Aldham Robarts Library is open from 8.45am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and closed Saturdays and Sundays. 

Core Café opening times 

Over the summer, our Core Cafes on campus are open from 8am to 3pm, except for the Student Life Building, which will close at 4pm. 

The café in the John Lennon Art and Design Building is closed for the summer.
