Recovery and the Arts Conference
The conference is organised by the Faculty of Science at Liverpool John Moores University took place in the Everyman Theatre on 3 September 2019.
To kick-start National Recovery Month 2019, our conference profiled the fantastic work of the UK arts-based recovery community.
The conference provided a platform for community arts-based projects to display latest work enabling those in recovery from drugs and alcohol, to share their experiences of art-based recovery; as well as academics who presented and discussed their research. The conference served as a valuable knowledge exchange opportunity, and provided an opportunity for delegates to identify ‘gaps and needs’ in the arts-based recovery community
