Recovery and the Arts Conference

Tuesday 3 September 2019

It is a pleasure to invite you to our conference Recovery and the Arts.

The conference is organised by the Faculty of Science at Liverpool John Moores University and will take place in the Everyman Theatre on 3 September 2019.

To kick-start National Recovery Month 2019, our conference profiles the fantastic work of the UK arts-based recovery community.

The conference has several aims. It aims to provide a platform for community arts-based projects to display latest work it hopes to enable those in recovery from drugs and alcohol, to share their experiences of art-based recovery; and for academics to present and discuss their research. While the conference serves as a valuable knowledge exchange opportunity, it also aims to provide an opportunity for delegates to identify ‘gaps and needs’ in the arts-based recovery community and develop a plan for action.
