About the study
Led by LJMU’s School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (in affiliation with the Institute of Health Research), in collaboration with the University of Liverpool and supported by Alopecia UK, this research invites UK adults (18+) with lived experience of alopecia to participate in an anonymous online survey. The study explores treatment satisfaction, daily-life impact of hair loss, and future research priorities — including emerging RNA-based therapies.
Who can take part
- Aged 18 or over
- Resident in the UK
- Have lived experience of any type of alopecia
No scientific or technical knowledge required.
What’s involved
Participants complete an anonymous online survey (around 15 to 20 minutes) asking about their experiences of alopecia, views of current treatments and perspectives on future research directions.
