  1. Pupil and heart: Autonomic correlates of listening effort

    Are you interested in taking part in a research project that aims to identify physiological indicators of listening effort? We are looking to recruit participants for a study that examines the heart- and pupil-related responses associated with effortful listening.

  3. Gordon Millar

    Gordon plays a key role in Liverpool’s lively theatre scene as the Artistic Director and CEO of Unity Theatre, a venue that started life in the 1930s and continues to explore current societal matters through its performances. As an LJMU drama alum, he continues to support current students who were once in his shoes and is proud to have many new graduates working at Unity today.

  4. Nickianne Moody

    Nickianne worked at LJMU for just short of 30 years, teaching on and then leading the university’s Media and Cultural Studies provision. Sadly, she died in 2019 following a period of illness, leaving behind a multitude of memories and legacies for students and academics alike.

  5. Norman Thelwell (1923-2004)

    Norman is considered to be the most popular cartoonist in Britian since the Second World War and some regard him as the unofficial artist of the British countryside. As a graduate of the Liverpool College of Art, the forerunner to today’s Liverpool School of Art and Design, it was here that he undertook a course in illustration, one of the many ex-servicemen and women who joined the school after the war.

  6. Next steps - Priorities for deepening and broadening

    We identified that our priorities for development involve consolidating some areas, promoting some SDGs which are not typically present in our work, and influencing wider strategy within the institution. Our final goal is about embedding PRME into our strategic management practices.
