  4. Dr Robyn Pyne

    Robyn joined LJMU in 2017 and is Programme Leader and Principal Lecturer for Logistics and Maritime programmes with our Faulty of Engineering and Technology. In 2024 she became Associate Dean for Global Engagement, responsible for collaborative provision and international partnerships for the faculty.

  6. LJMU e-Racing Team

    LJMU e-Racing is a student-led team that designs and builds an electric single-seater race car to compete each year at Formula Student UK.

  7. Bas Pilar

    Bas moved from Spain to study in Liverpool after friendship with the online gaming community brought him to the city. Since then, he has become an award-winning engineering student and is making a difference to the energy sector by creating ways to heat homes and buildings more efficiently.

  8. Professor Mike Riley

    Professor Mike Riley has worked at LJMU for some 33 years and is the Director of the School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment. He is passionate about giving students the tools they need to be the best that they can be in the world of building and construction.

    Five years ago, Liverpool John Moores University switched on Prospero, a High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster named for the wise magician in Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
