  4. Professor Catherine Cole

    Catherine is a Professor of Creative Writing and Associate Dean Research at LJMU and in 2023 released her own memoir documenting her family’s move to Australia for a better future, as many Brits did in the ‘50s and ‘60s. With the help of an LJMU grant she was able to travel to her parents native Yorkshire to conduct research for the book, bringing a personal perspective on migration to audiences around the world.

  5. Colette Dalton

    Colette was a dedicated member of the catering team at LJMU for 42 years, having joined Liverpool Polytechnic in 1981. Sadly, in October 2023, just four months before her retirement, Colette passed away after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia just a few months earlier. She was a much-loved colleague, developing life-long friendships while working for the polytechnic and university. Colette also had, and continues to have, many family ties to LJMU.

  7. Art – interviews with women activists in Nepal

    As a part of the Qualitative Analysis in Action project, you are invited to read the interviews with women who are changing the world of art and other creative ventures in Nepal. The interviews help us to gain a better understanding of these women's unique and inspirational lives.

  8. Centre for Natural Products Discovery

    The interconnected research theme of the group is the prevention and cure of human diseases. We look at: synthetic organic medicinal chemistry, natural products drug discover, photochemistry, nutraceuticals and food supplements, pharmacology and toxicology.

  9. Molly McCann

    Sports development alum Molly McCann, better known as ‘Meatball Molly’, is an inspiring scouse figure in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). She is supported by experts in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences to remain on top form as she competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
