Sport scientists behind national exercise drive
The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is launching the LJMU Clinical Exercise Physiology Clinic, offering free, specialist exercise support to help prevent and manage long term health conditions.
Our staff networks have been integral in progressing certain policies for LJMU staff, including on maternity leave and menopause.
Following the Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (webinar series), the University of Kent, Liverpool John Moores University and City, University of London are working with Inclusive Employers to deliver a virtual, Inclusive Allyship Programme.
What can fossil bones tell us about the ecology and behaviour of extinct species? In two recent publications, Dr Carlo Meloro from the School of Natural Sciences and Psychology has worked with international teams to demonstrate how we can interpret palaeoecology (the ecology of fossil animals and plants) of extinct wild dogs by looking at their fore-limb and skull shape.
Baroness Valerie Amos, Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, United Nations, delivered a Roscoe Lecture entitled ‘The role of the United Nations in a world riven by conflict, poverty and hunger.’
