  3. Dex Wright

    Dex is a psychology and criminology student and the founder of JMSU’s Boxing Society. The society has not only brought students together in the world of sport, but has helped to form a community where people are also using boxing to support their mental health.

  4. Phil Bridges

    Phil is the founder of a Liverpool-based mental health social enterprise called The Mind Map, helping to improve people’s mental health through counselling, training and awareness. It was his own experiences growing up that influenced his decision to set-up the organisation.

  5. Reverend Canon Dr Ellen Loudon

    From drama student to priest and Christian activist, Ellen Loudon is an inspiring alumna who in her role as Canon Chancellor of Liverpool Cathedral joins our annual graduation ceremonies, celebrating the opportunities that gaining a degree gives our outstanding students.

    The School of Biological and Environmental Sciences is committed to developing an equal and diverse environment, where all individuals can achieve their potential, and fostering an inclusive and supportive community, free from discrimination and harassment.

    In 2022, Liverpool John Moores University renewed their Diversity Champions membership, to ensure the continuation of our LGBTQI+ staff feeling free to be themselves and to continue the work to increase the feeling of belongingness.
