3. LJMU is offering students access to IT services off campus like never before

   Do you prefer to study out of hours? Is there a pressing lab report that you need access to? No problem! LJMU is providing students with 24/7 access to IT services off campus. That means you can access Office 365 from your own device and download other software onto your own laptop/computer as well as accessing lab computers.

4. New Microsoft training available for all staff

   We’ve partnered with IT development company Primed Talent to boost our Microsoft skills.

5. Windows upgrade: action required from all staff

   All staff need to be aware of an important upgrade required on managed laptops and desktops – this is an upgrade to Windows 11 and needs to be in place before the start of the new academic year (31 August 2025).

6. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

7. Add the pronunciation of your name to your email signature

   NameCoach software has been integrated with LJMU systems to help users add name pronunciations at the bottom of email signatures.

9. Getting a new phone during the winter break and need to access your LJMU account?

   If you get or buy a new phone for Christmas or over the winter break, you’ll need to register your new device so that you still access your LJMU account.

10. Extending Multi-Factor Authentication

    IT Services will be expanding the use of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across Microsoft Office 365 applications including email, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
