  3. Sean Curran

    Sean studied law at Liverpool Polytechnic and was President of the Student’s Union. He has since gone on to become a BBC journalist, reporting on politics and parliament, often hosting LJMU students at the BBC and sharing career insights.

    Business graduate Sean, while he doesn’t take life too seriously, has used the skills he honed at LJMU to develop two wacky businesses.

  5. Lorraine Shaw

    Lorraine Shaw was the Subject Lead for Nursing in the School of Nursing and Allied Health from 2013 until her retirement in 2023. As a registered nurse since 1987, practising in a range of clinical areas, her ties with LJMU began in 1992 when she needed a degree to progress with her career and enrolled with LJMU while continuing to work full-time for the NHS, and later venturing into teaching and management.

    LJMU Special Collections and Archives (SCA) manage the University’s collections of historical, rare, and unique archival and print materials, including photographs, manuscripts, books, video and audio resources.
