Semester 1

18 September to 12 January (Examinations from 3 January to 12 January NB. If an alternative assessment is required then this can be facilitated if it is feasible).

Semester 2

15 January to 3 May (Examinations are from 22 April to 3 May).

Modules within LJMU can be found online. Please note these are our 2022 modules, but it is anticipated there will not be any significant change, so you are able to select your module choice for 23-24 from this list. The confirmed cohort of 23-24 modules will be published in July 2023.

Language

All studies are delivered in English, so ensure that your level of English is B2. Evidence is required if students require a visa.


Submission of nomination date

Semester 1 and year long: 15 April

Semester 2: 15 October

Send nominees to goabroad@ljmu.ac.uk and include the following:

  • Students full name
  • Students official email
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality of passport
  • Gender
  • General subject area that student will study at LJMU (please note due to the Faculty and Campus locations we may not be able to provide students with modules in multiple locations, due to timetabling issues)
  • Semester entry preference and duration

Credits

Exchange students will enrol on 60 credits per semester, which is equivalent to 30 ECTS (both amount to 600 hours of study time.


English Language Proficiency

All modules are delivered in English. For students from Partner universities where the langue of instruction is not English, we require a proficiency of B2, which is IELTS overall score of 6 or a TOEFL overall score of 78 (with 18 for reading, 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 20 for speaking).
