The department of Media, Culture, Communication in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has established a new initiative to create space for students to socialise and support their wellbeing.
Girls and women who have been through the care system should be diverted away from custodial sentences into community alternatives wherever possible, says a new report published today (Weds 4 May 2022). And the study adds that moves to prevent the criminalisation of girls in care need to be high on the agenda for change.
Dutch men and Latvian women are the tallest on the planet, according to the largest ever study of height around the world. The research group, which included LJMU’s Dr Lynne Boddy, conducted the study using data from most countries in the world, tracking the height of young adult men and women between 1914 and 2014.
More than 50 staff are set to take part in the charity event on Sunday 11 May.
