Matteo could be described as LJMU’s very own Indiana Jones. A principal lecturer in forensic anthropology, he is a charismatic academic with an unconventional approach to scientific inquiry in both forensic cases and life’s mysteries, with a penchant for holy relics and intrigue for ancient rituals, legends and even a spot of magic.
Elizabeth is the Head of Primary Programmes within the School of Education, and her own career in teaching brought her to work at the university. In 2023, she won a JMSU Student Experience Award, after being nominated as an outstanding teacher with students praising her for her support, empathy, and enthusiasm in all that she does.
Double LJMU graduate Dennis creates incredible immersive experiences in the Liverpool City Region through his company Focal Studios. Emily is a 2023 graduate of LJMU, having studied psychology. She is one of thousands of students who completed their studies during the COVID-19 health pandemic, drawing upon their resilience, adapting to hybrid learning and making the most of their university experience despite challenging times.
Chantelle is an alumna and current PhD researcher here at LJMU. She is a writer, public speaker, educator, entrepreneur and activist. She’s a national civil rights campaigner and the founder of Merseyside Alliance for Racial Equality CIC (MARE), a non-profit organisation committed to promoting racial equality across Merseyside through grassroots community-led education and engagement work.
