    Researchers in the Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology have used drones for the conservation of habitats, discovered how Neolithic agriculture spread, and uncovered the earliest evidence of hunting - to point out just a few of our achievements.     The Forensic Research Institute is a research and training organisation with expertise in aspects of evidence collection, analysis, reporting and testimony. We have a proven track record of impact in assisting criminal justice agencies in crime-prevention, police work, the preparation of cases, victim identification, victim and witness support and much more.

  5. Jamie Christon DL

    Jamie Christon is the Chief Executive of Chester Zoo and was chosen as one of 10 new honorary fellows during LJMU’s Bicentenary year. The honour reflects his work driving forward conservation at the zoo, preventing extinction in a changing world, and working collaboratively with organisations, partners, and visitors.

  6. Forensic and Investigative Psychology: People and Processes

    These researchers collectively contribute to forensic, social, and cognitive psychology, with work spanning offender behaviour, violence risk, sexual violence prevention, moral decision making, personality, and the psychological impact of digital and social environments.

  7. Dr Elizabeth Malone

    Elizabeth is the Head of Primary Programmes within the School of Education, and her own career in teaching brought her to work at the university. In 2023, she won a JMSU Student Experience Award, after being nominated as an outstanding teacher with students praising her for her support, empathy, and enthusiasm in all that she does.

    Ibe founded Cycle for Life, a Toxteth based organisation that strives to ensure the community has a voice in the active travel revolution in Liverpool and the confidence to cycle in their city. Ibe and his team are getting support from LJMU’s Business School to now scale up their community-focused work and increase their social value.
