The Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) specialises in fracture and contact mechanics, wave propagation in lattices and microstructures, thermal fatigue and thermal striping, materials development and processing, as well as dynamics and control systems. You can find out more about these research areas and the projects MEMARC are working on here.
General Engineering Research Institute (GERI) have a number of facilities, from laboratories and microscopes to lasers and x-ray machines.
GERI has five research groups, including CEORG, the Bio-Engineering Research Group, AMTReL, the Electronic and Ultrasonic Engineering Research Group and the Photonics In Engineering Research Group. Find out about eaach Group's research specialisms here.
Researchers from the Microelectronics Research Group are investigating new technologies and materials. Members from the Group are also exploring ‘show-stoppers’ for optimizing digital/analogue circuits.
The Absolute Chemistry Research Group is dedicated to practices of Outreach, Public Engagement and Widening Participation.
