Within the Nursing Research Group, our health and social care research is helping to transform people's lives for the better. Our expertise includes: technology in healthcare, specific topics relevant to children, young people and families; the outcomes of health and social care education, healthcare delivery, and resilience in modern living. Situated in the Faculty of Technology and Environment, the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) conducts research into mechanical engineering, materials, applied mathematics, as well as dynamics and control areas.
General Engineering Research Institute has produced a huge breadth of high-impact engineering research. GERI’s five major groups conduct research into: optical metrology, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and laser processing.

This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.
