  3. Honorary Fellows 2010

    Find out more about the Fellows Liverpool John Moores University honoured in 2010 including; Colonel John Blashford-Snell OBE, Norah Button, John Entwistle, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Sir Tim Hunt, Richard Lester, Chrissie Maher OBE, Lord Jonathan Mance, Gerry Marsden MBE, David Molyneux, John Timpson CBE, Phil Redmond CBE, Kim Cattrall and Alison Steadman OBE.

  4. Gary Blacker

    Gary is a paramedic science graduate of LJMU with over two decades of experience in the ambulance service. He has now made the transition to become a full-time member of staff at the university, teaching the next generation of health professionals. In 2023 he was named as an Outstanding Teacher at the students’ union awards after being nominated by his students.

  5. Trish Bennett

    Trish is the Chief Nurse, Chief Operations Officer, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Clinical Services at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. In 2023, she was awarded an honorary fellowship for her dedication to public health and nursing throughout her career spanning over three decades in the NHS.

    This event celebrates the significant contribution that postgraduate students make to academic life within the Faculty.

  7. The Diversity and Inclusion Funded Project 2025 to 2026

    The University Funded Diversity and Inclusion scheme is a pot of money set aside to provide grants for supporting research initiatives across the University aimed at challenging discrimination and inequalities, increasing representation of under-represented groups, raising awareness of issues related to Diversity and Inclusion, and facilitating implementation of good practice at the University.

  9. Niamh Charles

    Niamh is a professional footballer and was in the history making Lionesses squad, the England women’s football team, that made it to the final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She’s an alumna from our School of Sport and Exercise Sciences and was supported during her studies as a Sports Scholar.
