6. The Rt Hon Sir Brian Leveson QC

   Sir Brian Leveson, perhaps best known for his outstanding contribution to the legal profession and leading the Leveson Inquiry into ethics within the UK media, was the fifth Chancellor of LJMU serving in the role for eight years from 2013 to 2021.

7. Stonewall

   In 2022, Liverpool John Moores University renewed their Diversity Champions membership, to ensure the continuation of our LGBTQI+ staff feeling free to be themselves and to continue the work to increase the feeling of belongingness.

8. The Centre for Modern and Contemporary History

   Established in 2022, the Centre for Modern and Contemporary History (CMCH) supports the research of LJMU's historians, strengthens our partnerships with museums and historical societies and creates opportunities for new collaborations with researchers and historical institutions locally, nationally and internationally.

9. Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Research Institute (AIDTRI)

   The Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Research Institute (AIDTRI) was established in 2025 as Liverpool John Moores University’s focal point for internationally excellent research and knowledge exchange in artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies.

10. Ruth Scully

    Ruth is one of thousands of mature students to have passed through the doors of LJMU, furthering her own career in children’s care and education after gaining her degree in 2016.
