Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Exchange Station on Thursday 7th February from 8.15am - 9.30am.

On Thursday 14th November 2019 (12.30pm – 3.30pm), Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) will host a BAME into Leadership network event in partnership with BME Leadership Network (BLN) and Parrett Laver a recruitment company that assist HEIs with recruiting top level positions.
An LJMU Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Art and Design, Dr Robert Macdonald, has won the Design in Mental Health Network Award (DIMHN) for his contribution to local mental health services.
The project is investigating if new technology improves digital connectivity in high density settings such as music venues.
We are pleased to offer this development opportunity for up to 15 women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region. Action learning provides a unique space for women to support each other to overcome work and career related challenges. This opportunity has been taken up previously by 150 women. Participant feedback includes: it was not role specific, so there were a range of individuals with different roles/skills/perspective which enriched my experience and It provided a rare opportunity to discuss issues confidentially outside of ones own workplace which helped me to develop more self-confidence and self-awareness.
All students will need to reconnect to continue using the Eduroam Wi-Fi service.
Computer science and maths experts will help to model and investigate both the security and performance of a new telecoms network.
