   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

   The Diverse Futures: LJMU Sponsorship Programme is designed to pair ethnically diverse staff with senior leaders and managers.

4. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).

8. Changes to our bins and waste collection across campus

   From the end of August 2025, we’re rolling out changes to reduce waste and increase recycling.

9. Empower the Next Generation: Host a Work Experience Placement

   This May, June or July, the Diversity and Inclusion team is looking for staff and teams to host local pupils in year 10, 11 and 12 for work experience placements at the university.

10. Over 500 staff and students attend Students at the Heart Conference 2023

    Covering everything from AI to alumni, 70 plus sessions were delivered by 200 staff and students across the two-day event.
