    Each year, seasonal flu leads to around 15,000 deaths in the UK. Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to prevent it, but not enough people are getting the jab.

    You will be able to use an eVisa to travel to the UK. You will not need to carry a physical document, except for your passport, which must be registered to your UKVI account. You must keep your passport details up to date in your UKVI account.

    Alexandra has been a friend of LJMU since 2015 when she moved to the UK, and alongside her own studies, she has played a key role in forging a relationship between the university and the growing Roma community in the city.

    Ave is undertaking her master’s in pharmacy at LJMU and is one of thousands of students who travel from different parts of the UK to study in Liverpool.

  7. Fadi Alnaef

    Fadi is a 2023 graduate from the maritime business and management programme. He came to the UK as a refugee, having fled his home in Damascus, Syria, and gaining his initial qualifications in Greece. He used his dissertation research to highlight the challenges facing the shipping sector and their obligations under international law to help vessels in distress, including refugee and migrant boat crossings.

  8. Julia Carter Preston (1926-2012)

    A British potter who was responsible for reviving the art of ‘sgraffito’ in the UK in the 1950s. She studied at Liverpool College of Art in the 1940s where she discovered a passion for ceramics and later went on to teach at the college too.

  9. The Rt Hon Sir Brian Leveson QC

    Sir Brian Leveson, perhaps best known for his outstanding contribution to the legal profession and leading the Leveson Inquiry into ethics within the UK media, was the fifth Chancellor of LJMU serving in the role for eight years from 2013 to 2021.

  10. LJMU e-Racing Team

    LJMU e-Racing is a student-led team that designs and builds an electric single-seater race car to compete each year at Formula Student UK.
