As a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Violence Prevention, the Public Health Institute works to support effective violence prevention by helping partners understand the impacts of violence, identify risk groups, choose preventative measures and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
The Public Health Institute investigates interventions with the aim of reducing tobacco use. We look at the relationship between smoking behaviours and demographics, income, parental smoking, leisure activities and alcohol consumption.
International students studying particular courses in the UK must acquire an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate before they can apply for their student visa.
