We are excited to bring you the first edition of the European Exercise Metabolomics mini-meeting, organised by Liverpool John Moores University, Technische Universität München and Jyväskylä University. This is FREE to attend event that aims to bring exercise scientists and metabolomics enthusiasts together, to create a stronger future for the exercise metabolomics field. In this first edition, we have an excellent line up of speakers who will provide a background on metabolomics and current research insights in the field of exercise metabolomics. The meeting is short and out of typical working hours to try and maximise the opportunity for you to attend.

Keynote Speaker:

Dr. David Wishart (University of Alberta, Canada): "The do's and don'ts of metabolomics"

  • Dr. Juha Hulmi (University of Jyväskylä, Finland):"Effects of low carbohydrate availability in physique competitors and in vitro "exercise" on the metabolome"
  • Dr. Daniel Owens (Liverpool John Moores University, UK): "Exercise metabolomics in applied sports science research"
  • Prof. Henning Wackerhage (Technische Universität München, Germany): "Exercise metabolomics and the analysis of physiological extremes of human metabolism"

*This event is being held on Zoom.  You must have a valid Zoom account to attend. The Zoom link will be sent to you when you register.
