LJMU’s Press and Public Affairs Officer Team is the first point of contact for any media query about the university. We tell LJMU’s story externally through promotion in media, blogs and broadcast appearances. We put journalists in touch with academics for expert commentary on breaking news issues and thought leadership pieces and we support our staff in handling interviews.

Story of the week
Liverpool's £15m Sensor City officially opened by Business Minister Greg Clark...
The Conversation is a news website with a difference; all its content is written by experts from the university and research sectors.
The LJMU Media Relations and Public Affairs Team works with academics and editors at The Conversation to write thought-leadership pieces linked to University research in addition to commentary on key issues that appear in the media. Articles are often read by between 10 and 15 million people per month both through the site and via republishing. It’s ideal for those new to media relations, as well as those who are experienced.
The Broadcast Hub in the Redmonds Building contains Globelynx camera which is directly connected to UK and international TV channels with no need to travel to TV studios. Working alongside the Media Relations and Public Affairs Team, Globelynx uses this database to identify academics' suitability to comment on issues in the news.
We run regular training events for both media resources, please contact us to find out more:
