Biography

Abayomi Otebolaku received the Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal.

He received the INESC TEC grants for doctoral research between 2009 and 2011. Also, he received the Portuguese government’s Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia - Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) full doctoral grants (Bolsa de Doutoramento) from 2011 to 2015.

From 2009 to 2015, he was a research engineer at the Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia, INESC TEC (formerly INESC Porto), Porto.

He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics, University of Aveiro. He also collaborated on EU Horizon 2020 projects such as SWARMs where he conducted research activities in context awareness for underwater robotics.

His key research interests include Context sensing, context modelling, context recognition and context-aware personalization.

Dr Otebolaku is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
