Dr Qian Zhang

Biography

Dr Qian Zhang is a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Systems at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Liverpool John Moores University. He received a PhD degree from the University of Sheffield and a BEng degree from Zhejiang University. Before joining LJMU, he has worked as a Lecturer in Control Engineering at the University of Kent and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sheffield. His research interests lie in the areas of robotics and control, data-driven modelling, multi-objective optimisation, and their applications in manufacturing and industrial problems. His research projects range across the fields of metal processing, autonomous systems and UAVs, rail industry and structural engineering.
