Dr. Abhijit Ganguli is a Senior Lecturer with Civil Engineering and Built Environment with expertise in non-destructive evaluation and health monitoring of civil structures.
Prior to joining LJMU, Abhijit was an Associate Professor within India’s IIT system, leading Government and defense agency funded research projects.
He has consulting experience with the Indian construction industry on health assessment of existing structures. Abhijit has a background in structural dynamics, experimental mechanics and ultrasonic wave propagation with a PhD from Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium followed by research experience with Schlumberger, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the Northeastern University in the United
He has supervised five doctoral students and has several publications with international journals. Abhijit is interested in advising students motivated to pursue a PhD at LJMU.
