Miriam Clowes

Nursing and Allied Health

Miriam has worked at the University since 2021. Following registration as a Children's Nurse from Salford University, Miriam undertook a PgDip in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing at the university.
Following this Miriam worked within Liverpool as a Health Visitor with a focus on health promotion, safeguarding and leadership.
Miriam is a registered trainer with the NSPCC and is involved in delivery of the Graded Care Profile 2 across local NHS Community Trusts.
Miriam is a peer reviewer for Nursing Children and Young People.

Miriam is module leader for 2nd year practice modules within both Pre-registration Adult Nursing Programmes and Trainee Nurse Associate Training Programmes and also supports other modules across the programmes. Miriam is Cohort Leader for March 2020 students and for students commencing their studies in January 2023.

Research interests include safeguarding children and young people, resilience and attachment within early childhood, Adverse Childhood experiences, health promotion and neglect screening.
