Biography

Senior Lecturer in Outdoor Education: Research interests focus on recreation and travel in the wilderness (impacts and interactions between people and our wild environments). Collaboration with University of Northern British Columbia (2008, 2010) into pro-glacial suspended sediment dynamics in arctic and alpine environments (British Columbia) has stimulated another avenue of research interest.
Teaching areas: Earth Science and Geography; Recreational Ecology; Paddlesport; Mountain Leadership and Winter skills; Skiing; Dissertation supervision; Work Based Learning.
