School of Biological and Environmental Sciences

Faculty of Science

I am currently the Associate Dean for Global Engagement (previously the Associate Dean for Quality Assurance & Enhancement) in the Faculty of Science and the Biosciences Subject Leader in the School of Biological & Environmental Sciences. My first degree was a BSc. (Hons) in Biochemistry from LJMU. I moved to the University of Liverpool for my PhD. and this research project focused on the mesenchymal-epithelial interactions in gastric cancer. I stayed at the University of Liverpool for a post-doc position in the School of Biological Sciences and I was involved in a study investigating embryonic stem cell differentiation into dopaminergic neurons for the potential treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Following this post-doc I joined LJMU as a Senior Lecturer.
