PhD Research Title: 'Translating the effects of dietary flavonoids on energy metabolism into physical activity benefits'

My research is investigating the effects of flavonoids (bioactive, plant-derived compounds) on energy metabolism and physical function. We will be performing a series of experiments to determine the impact of flavonoids on mitochondrial function, and how this relates to alterations in reactive oxygen species, vascular function and exercise capacity.
