James graduated from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in 2007 after which he started out as a freelancer designing and developing websites for a U.S. based web design company.
In 2010 he founded Webrevolve, a digital marketing agency based in Liverpool. In the same year he was awarded the LJMU Business Start-up of the Year, and since then his company has grown to employ 25 staff, and has offices in Liverpool, London, Minnesota and Chicago. Almost 50% of James' team are LJMU graduates or industrial placement year students. He has worked closely with the University over the years to grow his skilled team, but also to provide valuable industry feedback to various departments within LJMU, and to also benefit current students with his experience.
James has recently launched his business in North America and plans to expand this client base whilst keeping the company HQ and production team in Liverpool. He feels his experience as an LJMU student and entrepreneur will add to the expertise on the Board of Governors, where his main focus will be on the enhancement of the student experience.
