Support for care experienced and estranged students

We’re here to help you into your accommodation

We want all students to feel at home in any accommodation at LJMU and we are committed to working with our accommodation partners to ensure our halls are accessible to everyone.

We know that care experienced and estranged students might need help with booking accommodation. This could include arranging a guarantor or accessing extra funding.

We guarantee accommodation all year for care experienced and estranged students who need it.

With this in mind, we invite you to email us at accommodation@ljmu.ac.uk and we can then set up the support needed.

Unite Foundation

LJMU and the Unite Foundation have partnered together to offer the opportunity to apply for the Unite Foundation Scholarship.

With the Unite Foundation scholarship, you’ll have accommodation and bills covered for up to 3 years of study. That includes all through the holidays too.

To be eligible, you must be 25 or under, and either a Care Leaver or estranged from your family, starting or studying your first undergraduate degree and eligible for UK home fee status.
