Postgraduate and mature students
Find the best place to live and study
As a new postgraduate or mature undergraduate student you have a great range of accommodation options available to you while studying at LJMU
Each year the University sets aside bedrooms for new postgraduate or mature undergraduate students in several of the accommodation options offered to new students (‘mature' refers to students who are at least 21 years old when they first enrol at the University).
For the academic year 2021/22 rooms have been set aside for such students in St Andrew's Gardens, Marybone 1, Atlantic Point, Agnes Jones House and Albert Court. Bedrooms at Albert Court and Atlantic Point feature private en-suite bathrooms and are good value at £119 and £114 per week respectively. Parking is available at both sites at an additional cost.
In addition, there are self-contained studios available at The Arch, Byrom Point and Grand Central. These are the most expensive rooms on offer at up to £175 per week including all fuel bills, contents insurance and a WiFi connection. You will need to purchase a Licence for any TV that is provided in the studio.
If you prefer not to share your accommodation with new undergraduate students and do not want to live in any of the options listed above you should contact Liverpool Student Homes, which is owned by the three universities in Liverpool and maintains official listings of good quality private houses and flats.
Students who will be undertaking a PGDE course at LJMU in 2021/22 will need access to their accommodation from Saturday, 4 September 2021 because these courses start teaching on Thursday, 9 September. Rooms will be available from this date within dedicated flats at St Andrew’s Gardens, Marybone 1 and Atlantic Point.
All students with special requirements or who require individual advice may of course contact the LJMU Accommodation Office at any time on firstname.lastname@example.org.
