Health and wellbeing for LJMU staff

We appreciate that many colleagues are feeling anxious about returning to the workplace. It is important that you raise your concerns and discuss this with your line manager. It is possible that they may be able to offer reassurance to ease your anxiety or make adjustments based on any concerns that you may have. If you are a member of a trade union, you may also wish to contact them to discuss any concerns that you have.

The university recognises that returning during these uncertain times, may impact on your mood or you could already be suffering with anxiety or stress or feeling low which may have worsened. We have in place a package of support for staff. 

This includes a telephone support helpline offered through Medicash, access to a Silvercloud online programme, which is a self-help platform with useful hints and tips to support our day to day lives and  additional counselling support. We also have a range of other wellbeing resources such as mindfulness, resilience and other wellbeing information videos. More information about these resources can be found on these pages.
