How we have prepared for your return to work
We are aware that the main concern that most individuals have about returning to the workplace is ensuring that they will be safe on their return.
We would like to reassure that prior to allowing staff members to return to the workplace, the Estate and Facilities Management team have implemented their plans for the recommissioning of our university buildings. This has involved the deep cleaning of buildings prior to them being reopened and putting in place additional cleaning stations to use whilst we are at work, signage to encourage social distancing and supplying additional cleaning supplies in high use areas.
Additional hand-washing facilities have been provided within workspaces, particularly near to entrances and exits, and everyone is encouraged to use these.
An institutional-wide risk assessment has been undertaken and this is supported by local risk assessments being undertaken prior to colleagues being asked to return to ensure that the workplace is COVID-19 secure. If you have any specific questions regarding the risk assessment that has been undertaken for your areas and the actions taken please discuss with your line manager who will be able to share this risk assessment with you.
Please note: LJMU is now a cashless campus – all payments must be made with cards.
