Research at Liverpool John Moores University

World-leading. Internationally excellent.

Research and scholarship are at the heart of everything we do at Liverpool John Moores University. Research is central to the student experience and informs the curriculum at all levels.

The results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework demonstrated the world-leading quality of our research - every unit of assessment we submitted was rated as at least 45% internationally excellent or better.

LJMU ranks in the top half of the overall research league table, placed 61st, out of 128 universities which submitted more than one unit of assessment, in the proportion of research that is world-leading or internationally excellent and we are second in the University Alliance group.
