The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has recently approved a new health and safety code of practice as well as amendments to a further 11 policies.
More than 50 staff are set to take part in the charity event on Sunday 10 May.
The university will sponsor the 2025 event and staff are encouraged to take part.
