  1. Outreach for schools and colleges

    Our outreach programmes inspire students by working with schools, colleges, career advisors, and parents, offering expert higher education guidance.

  2. Social behaviour, ecology and conservation

    Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication. We primarily study primates (including humans) but also other species including birds.   3. AI and Digital data Network

    The AI and Digital data Network employs machine learning, facial identification, and AI in the detection, recovery and analysis of digital data from audio-video and CCTV footage, 2D and 3D images and online material for the identification of deepfakes, cybercrime, counter-terrorism and security risks.

  4. Search, Scene and Discovery Network

    The Search, Scene and Discovery Network specialises in processes involved in the search for and discovery of human and/or animal remains/traces using technology including drones, robots and sensors.

  6. LCAPS Summer and Winter School

Would you like to gain real insight into how these systems operate in the UK, beyond what you learn in the classroom? The LCAPS Summer and Winter School offers a unique opportunity to explore these careers through hands-on experiences, practical activities, and direct engagement with professionals working in the field.

  9. Children and young people insight

    This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

  10. Electrical and Electronic Engineering facilities

    The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Research Centre has a wide range of facilities, including probe stations, test samples, semiconductor parameter analyzers and a range of three-phase and multiphase (five-phase, six-phase and nine-phase) machines too. The Centre also has two-level and three-level voltage source inverters and a three-phase to nine-phase direct matrix converter.
