  4. About the Research Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology

    Researchers in the Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology have used drones for the conservation of habitats, discovered how Neolithic agriculture spread, and uncovered the earliest evidence of hunting - to point out just a few of our achievements.     As part of our commitment to support educational leadership across our region, the Centre offers leadership expertise to schools and other educational institutions who require organisational interventions, leadership training and workforce development.

  6. Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour

    Within the Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour we are involved in research which looks at perception, attention, emotion, learning and memory, sensory and motor processes, and includes animal models of neurobehavioral research. We investigate cognitive and brain mechanisms in psychologically and neurologically intact animals and humans, and the disruption of these processes caused by drugs, brain damage, ageing or atypical development.

  8. Centre for Port and Maritime History

    The Centre for the Port and Maritime History focuses on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise. Research examines: urban history, British merchant marine advertising, Liverpool and the British Empire in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.

    The Centre of Educational Leadership will host programmes that assist leaders and organisations to improve and excel in their practice.
