Phil is Managing Director of Liverpool-based film company Mocha, which he set up alongside three other LJMU graduates at the turn of the 21st century. The business’s first client was LJMU and over more than two decades the company has gone from strength to strength, working on music videos to ministerial briefings. This year they created the LJMU 200 film in celebration of our bicentenary year.
Solicitor Rachel founded LJMU’s free Legal Advice Centre in 2014, just one year after she joined the School of Law. Every year the centre helps hundreds of people through its free legal advice and public legal information activities, contributing significantly to the economic and social wellbeing of the Liverpool City Region, while developing our students’ skills to put them one step ahead in their professional careers upon graduation.

Professor Roger Webster is the former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and Professor of Literary Studies at the university. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by LJMU in 2017 for his outstanding contribution to arts and cultural education.
